By playing Galactic Overkill — in the browser, in the iOS app, or as a Discord Activity — you agree to these terms. The game is provided free of charge.
Purchases (Supporter Pack)
The game offers an optional one-time Supporter Pack — cosmetic items only, with no gameplay advantage. In the iOS app it is sold through Apple's App Store and subject to Apple's terms; refunds are handled by Apple, and you can restore it on any device signed into the same Apple ID via "Restore purchases" on the Supporter Pack screen (reached from the main menu or the bottom of the Ship Editor). In the Discord Activity it is sold through Discord's in-app purchases and subject to Discord's terms; refunds are handled by Discord, and ownership follows your Discord account automatically (with a "Restore purchase" option in the Ship Editor). In all cases cosmetic unlocks are stored on your device.
Use of the game
Galactic Overkill is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. It is a hobby/indie project; we don't guarantee uptime, availability, or that your session won't be interrupted. Matches and stats are temporary and may reset at any time.
Fair play & conduct
To keep the arena fun for everyone, you agree not to:
- Cheat, exploit bugs, or use automated tools, bots, or modified clients to gain an unfair advantage
- Use the chat to harass others or post hateful, abusive, or illegal content
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, or attack the servers or other players
Players can hide another player's callsign and chat on their own device. Three independent reports against the same connected player automatically replace that player's callsign and disable their chat for the rest of the current room session. This temporary action is not a permanent account ban.
Platform terms
When you play through a third-party platform, that platform's own rules also apply. The iOS app is subject to Apple's App Store terms, and the Discord Activity is subject to Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines — including Discord's minimum age requirement to use Discord.
Intellectual property
The game, its name, artwork, and code are owned by or licensed to the developer. Third-party software and assets remain subject to their respective licenses. You may not redistribute or resell the game or its proprietary assets without permission.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the game.
Changes
These terms may be updated; the current version will always be posted on this page.
